Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Doesn't she eventually...

I'm not sure about the second thing but I believe the first thing happens in the last book.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Yes. But even with those plot developments, it's still overwhelmingly swoony.

(Note to self: watch Near Dark tonight.)

So we're been watching da Bears '85 season on Netflix. (boy do today's running backs look slow and awkward compared to Willie and Walter) I haven't worked up the courage to rewatch "The Superbowl Shuffle" but I did read the Wikipedia article. It claims the song shot up the Billboard charts and stopped dead at #41. Some speculate that the numbers may have been manipulated so Casey Kasem wouldn't have to play the song nationally on top 40 radio. Scandalous!

Note the spit cloth thrown over my shoulder. So fashionable!

What a lovely picture. Awww.

I just recently found an old cloth left over from the boys. It was embroidered Spit Happens.

Librarian Warlord

Sparky, can you fix the Wikipedia article?

I got out of the Wikipedia business years ago after watching information I'd corrected be changed back to the wrong information. It's right up there with reading the comments on Salon for me.

What a lovely picture.

Thank-you to everyone!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Luckily I haven't been burnt that way. But mostly I end up making grammatical corrections, because I don't tend to read articles on things I already know.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Though come to think of it I never did get around to reading that. Oh well, plenty of time after the Rapture.
I read the first one. I kept screaming at the book PLAGIARISM! for it reminded me of Stephen King The Stand, but with religion thrown in. It wasn't good enough for the second book of the series. Oh, and nobody warned me it was a Rapture book.

I'm curious about Left Behind but there always seems to be something else I'd rather read instead. I used to be able to say the same thing about Twilight.

oh you've got to be kidding me!

A 1972 study in Nature found that mosquitoes were more likely to bite people with type O blood than other potential victims

all this time I thought I was imagining that the skeeters loved me and it turns out I'm their favorite blood type!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Just got back from the farmers' market. Oh, gosh, I am sore and tired. I feel just like I did a month or so ago when I first started making myself walk the couple blocks to get there. Of course, today I feel wiped out because earlier in the afternoon, I went down to the nature center, and hiked on modestly hilly trails with the Nordic walking poles, and then walked to the market.
