ugh P-C. I'm not sure what I'd do. I'm certain they owe you an apology and it sounds like they are trying very hard to avoid doing that.
Yeah, I was really gunning for an apology, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen, so maybe I should just take the scratch fix if they're actually going to do it right. Problem is it's going to be very inconvenient to get down there, and I don't know how long it will take.
I generally love my sexy car, but, God, she's been a pain. I have to take her in next week to get the transmission checked out because I frequently get this weird jerk when I'm decelerating, right around the point where the automatic transmission would be downshifting from second to first.
Trading it in is sounding more and more appealing.
I forgot to mention... I read Twilight. I think if someone had told me the plot would start around page 300 I wouldn't have bothered to keep reading. But my friend loaned me the whole set and I was
done
after the first book but it was drowsy morning time and I had a cat on me so I started in on the sneak preview of New Moon and damn it, I'm intrigued. Will there be more plot and less swoony-swoon in this one?
I didn't want to borrow them. I made a joke about almost reading Twilight while I was cat sitting and she shoved them at me. They sat on my bedroom floor for a week before curiosity overcame me. Now I feel kinda soiled.
At least you didn't buy them and contribute to the problem. I bought
Left Behind
off of eBay specifically to avoid adding to sales figures.
Though come to think of it I never did get around to reading that. Oh well, plenty of time after the Rapture.
Doesn't she eventually
have a baby and become a vampire?
I guess it eventually gets less swoony then. But it's a long time coming.
Doesn't she eventually...
I'm not sure about the second thing but I believe the first thing happens in the last book.
Doesn't she eventually
Yes. But even with those plot developments, it's still overwhelmingly swoony.
(Note to self: watch
Near Dark
tonight.)
