Did Avery Brooks rock Othello as hard as I imagine he did?
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I never seen Star Wars.

Yeah, we do automatic payments for all our bills, too. But we do it through the bank, and not where the vendor is authorized to take money directly out, because we feel like that may be prone to abuse. So we still have to pay attention to the bills, to make sure we're paid current (and sometimes we pay over the amount accidentally) but we get the ease of not having to deal with paper, and we hit the deadlines. It means we can do everything that way, including our giving, because the bank will send anyone a check we want them to.
We also have a bi-monthly household budget meeting. We can tell when we don't have it, 'cause that's the only time we get into trouble anymore. And we used to get into trouble, let me just say.
We're in the market for a car, but I just can't figure out what we can get. We want something smaller with better mileage because most of our locations now will store our instruments, so we don't need to do all that hauling all the time. But we live on a very dirt road, so we need something 4x4 or all wheel at the least that can handle the clay when it turns to mud. Anything that will do that a) doesn't have that great mileage and b) we can't afford.
Hallo. Am at KBD's on the iPhone. Didn't get to the thrift store this morning but did pay my rent and as a reward got to hold her lethally cute 9.5 month daughter. Such a smile!!
JenP, I am SO jealous. I'm sure Braugher made an awesome Iago.
I never seen Star Wars.
Well, now you don't have to.
Star Wars as retold by someone who has not seen it: [link]Too funny!
I never seen Star Wars.Must figure out way to get Shir viewing this. I have an idea, I have the DVD's, c'mon over!
As for bills, I used to do everything through my bank, but not automatically. Since moving to Dallas, my rent and utilities are the same company, and they charge to do electronic transfers, so eff that, I write a check. Cable/internet I do online at their website paying with visa (to get the points so I can get plane ticket, which is how I got to F2F!). Cell bill is the only one that is automatic. If that doesn't get paid on time, it's not pretty.
ION. I slept in till 2. :: yawn :: Then managed to do one of those things we were talking about a little up thread. That task that you don't want to do for fear it will take forever. Well. The pile of clean clothes are now officially put away. Yup. Only 90 minutes to sort and hang them all up. And judging by the warm weather clothes at the bottom, I'm guessing that pile started before the summer did.
Also, somehow, my brain is on the fence between being a total introvert/shut the world out this weekend, and "I wanna do something with people", but dunno who or what. My brain, it's bizarre.
Now, I must eat, and rehydrate, cuz dang it I'm hungry and thirsty!
I got up early, but sat around in my jammies til noon. Eight hours on a motorcycle driving along twisty roads, followed by six hours of plane travel and a very late arrival home last night has made me sore and lazy. Kinda nice, actually.
I am doing online traffic school to avoid getting a mark on my license for an illegal right hand turn that wasn't clearly marked. (I actually thought I was following the law when I got the ticket last spring.) The DMV has inserted a timer at the bottom of each page. You cannot proceed until you have been "carefully reading" for TWENTY MINUTES. Seriously? Even reading slowly, I was done in eight. Now I have to sit here for another twelve minutes Have I mentioned how much I hate arbitrary bureaucracy?
