It's called a blaster, Will, a word that tends to discourage experimentation. Now, if it were called the Orgasmater, I'd be the first to try your basic button press approach.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anybody else have The Crushes That Never Die?

Had one or two die after 15 years or so....

I can't think of any. There are a couple of cases of I wish I had gone out with someone back when, but only back when, and they wouldn't have been long term things.

I remember having crushes that wouldn't die...but they all seem to have quietly gone on. It that just a function of time passing or my general peace of mind. Probably a combo.

I used to love feeling crushy...but I don't miss it now.

Yeah. I've never ended up dating or sleeping with a crush, so they don't excite me like they used to.

“Not dead yet!”

Aw man, Lewis just texted me that he just watched Dhani Harrison playing Beatles Rock Band in the presentation at his conference. Said he looks just like George.

So, I managed to do something brainless. Which nine times out of ten would have just been annoying, but is now slightly problematic. Brainless thing was to forget to keep taking the BCPs so I wouldn't have a cycle this month. Not a big deal generally, but now I have a cold, and I get to choose between cold meds and cramp meds. Jolly! I think I can just cut down on the cramp meds, since cold meds have pain relievers as well, but I'm a little worried about taking acetominephen and aleve together. Thoughts?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

It's not a problem, b/c they're different drug classes and work differently.

I just pissed off a student. He asked me for scrap paper, and I directed him to the recycling bin. He wrinkled his nose, and walked over to our display of handouts (many of which are color prints) and grabbed a stack, saying, "I'll just use these." I stopped him with a severe look and, "those aren't scrap paper, so please don't use them that way." He then gave me the speech about how his tuition pays for everything here.

I think I broke something trying to keep my eyes from rolling out of my head and my lips from not forming the words, "You're a jerk."

Instead I pointed out that using resources that way will most certainly increase his tuition next year. With a big smile on my face.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Ugh, Sparky. What an entitled little twitwaffle.

Is it so wrong of me to laugh at him and think about how (the way the legal job market is these days) he'll have significant debt and no job, while I'll still have mine?

Some days, I'm plain evil.
