Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

"I swore I'd stop eating over my computer, but did I? Now there's a crumb keeping the e from working."

I believe you mean, "I swor I'd stop ating ovr my computr, but did I? Now thr's a crumb kping th from working."

Our wings are not tired.

Ginger, though there are people who use both for that purpose, it's not the norm amongst my friends or those I follow. I get a lot of breaking news and links to really interesting stuff through both sites. I am enormously grateful for this new way to connect with both established and new friends.

I have a Twitter account. It is possible I have never actually tweeted.

I have a Facebook account. My family members and other friends are on there as well as Buffistas. I very rarely have posted and only occasionally read it.

I have a LinkedIn account. I have accepted invitations. I sent a couple. It exists.

I never did the MySpace thing.

I have a Live Journal account. I used it for a bit but forget it exists most of the time.

All my love and recreation time belongs to the Buffistas. This is the only place where I spend my time posting.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I fished the crumb out earlier, but neglected to Tweet about it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

OMG, sj--are you eloping THIS weekend, or just planning a future elopment in maine??

Future elopement. We're not sure when yet. We are bad procrastinators, who already act married anyway.

Always Anti-fascist!

You're gonna "suffer through monogamy" with him, huh? (One of my favorite Ari quotes, not to turn this thread into Ari Gold likes greenlit carrots, is "Baby, we agreed we were going to suffer through monogamy together!" Which, written out, doesn't look that funny...maybe it's a Piven-delivery thing. Or maybe it's because he lies about "how much ass" he turns down every day. Which is a huge lie.

I love the b.org, I really do. But I always feel weird (and it doesn't matter if you tell me it's okay, I am still going to feel weird) coming here and just posting without regard to any conversation that is already occurring. I don't like to interupt, especiallly to insert something incongruous. I love Tweeting and Facebook because I don't feel like I am interupting anything.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Me, too. Posting "I'm back from vacation!" seems presumptuous, like people are going to welcome that in the middle of a conversation about something else.

“Not dead yet!”

Yeah, I've felt victim of the same. It's part of what kept me lurking for as many years as I did. Some times it does feel like talking into a vacuum, but I do know that if I have something really important to say or really want input on something, I will get it. And frankly, aside from my blog, this is where I feel most comfortable.

And Tep, I will admit that on Sunday night, I was thinking of posting a general, "Hey has anyone heard from Tep? They were supposed to be back in Cincinnati by tonight."

Because apparently, somewhere in my genetic makeup, I have a Jewish mother.
