Lydia: Its removal from Burma is a felony and when triggered it has the power to melt human eyeballs. Giles: In that case I've severely underpriced it.

'Potential'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

All my love and recreation time belongs to the Buffistas. This is the only place where I spend my time posting.

I love the b.org, I really do. But I always feel weird (and it doesn't matter if you tell me it's okay, I am still going to feel weird) coming here and just posting without regard to any conversation that is already occurring. I don't like to interupt, especiallly to insert something incongruous. I love Tweeting and Facebook because I don't feel like I am interupting anything.

Me, too. Posting "I'm back from vacation!" seems presumptuous, like people are going to welcome that in the middle of a conversation about something else.

“Not dead yet!”

Yeah, I've felt victim of the same. It's part of what kept me lurking for as many years as I did. Some times it does feel like talking into a vacuum, but I do know that if I have something really important to say or really want input on something, I will get it. And frankly, aside from my blog, this is where I feel most comfortable.

And Tep, I will admit that on Sunday night, I was thinking of posting a general, "Hey has anyone heard from Tep? They were supposed to be back in Cincinnati by tonight."

Because apparently, somewhere in my genetic makeup, I have a Jewish mother.

I will second that opinion.

I *was* obsessively updating LJ, though, with such exciting tales as "I Have A Cold" and "I STILL Have A Cold" and "Ben & Jerry's Tour, Woo-Hoo!"

I don't mind popping in something totally non-related. I accept the fact that sometimes my post will slip beneath the waves unnoticed, the price to pay for the freeform thread.

Hee! I was reading-- along with the "OMG, Vermont swimming holes are freaking COLD, goddammit!" posts.

ETA: And I still want some of those apple cider doughnuts you talked about.

Coding and Sleeping

Sometimes I do curse the timing of my posts. I'll post something that I think is interesting, funny, or clever (or all three) and the next post is something like my cat just died of cancer, then fell onto my puppy and killed it. And yeah, I feel really bad about it, but a small selfish part of me thinks, "Damn, that post has been lost forever."

The other case is the post made right before somebody posts a link to Zappos. Then it's just "Damn, my wit can't compete with shoes."

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I've been there too.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I think it's funny when I bitch about a company on Twitter, I end up getting a reply from the company's representative asking what they can fix. It's weird.
