Java, the first three months, it was a real adjustment. I've lived by myself for 16 years, and I'm hugely used to solitude. But now we're past needing to be "on" for each other and he does his tv, computer, music thing and I do mine.
I'm still adjusting to some stuff, though. But I'm doing it more easily and quickly than I thought I would, frankly.
I've been with Steve for 2.5 years. We are definitely past the stage of needing to be "on".
I still want the television off. Or at the very least, I want it to stay on one channel for more than 3 minutes.
Sounds good Erin! Wow!
Went and had yummy ham/egg/chese (or, to sound fancy, serrano ham, egg, and gruyere) crepe for breakfast, after a very nice wakeup of talking to a couple friends on the phone for a while. I'm not usually much of a phone person, but hey, if I can't have pleasant morning slow wakeup conversation in person, it works. :) Granted, one was mostly a rant from a friend about her ex, and me chiming in about her ex and her ex's best friend who is my ex, but still. :)
And tonight, karaoke! Last night ended up, after dancing, with a couple friends at the Crypt (a leather store) and though they were the ones who texted me while they were browsing somehow *I* ended up being the one who spent $80...(I got a hat, and a tie, and a riding crop, and an adorable little collar (it looks like someone cut the collar off a shirt. Except it's leather. And one side is black and the other white. It came with cuffs, too, but somehow those make it look like I'm trying to be in a bizarro superhero costume.)
Sounds fab, meara! And happy, happy Birthday!
We August Virgos-- we're hot. Mostly because, you know... August. But you're just plain hawt!
Happy Birthday, meara!
And I'm glad Lily's ok, erikaj.

t A child and her mother are sitting on a bed. The mother has just gotten off her phone after telling her sister that the mother spent the afternoon deep cleaning and rearranging the attic bedroom.
"Mommy? Where'd the bug come from?"
"What bug, honey?"
"The one you said crawled up your butt. Did you eat it?"
t boggle
t laughter
"Oh, Emeline..."
Random question: what is the eyeliner y'all like for not budging? I need to go to Sephora and spend money, and that's one of the things I need...
I second meara's question. I have a ton of eyeliners and they all run and smudge within an hour or so. Especially in the summer heat.
Urban Decay is the one I've heard recommended.
