Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Vortex ~~~~~sending the ma ~~~~` and love out

I love owning, and doing home projects , But we sometimes have to remind ourselves that everyday does not have to be productive. Fun is allowed

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aims, pick some of these up for Joe, will you? I'd be sad if he never ate Star Trek waffles.

Don't be sad - I'll pick some up.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

There've been times when my gardening love's been pretty theoretical, too. But it's pretty satisfying to look out my side window and see the majority of my plantings doing well. Luckily, if I fail with one plant it's easy to hide the dead body in the compost bin and fill in the hole with something else.

my scraggly rose bushes

I love roses! I've rarely had light enough to keep them alive. But there's one called "Darlow's Enigma" that I'm hoping to try. It's supposed to be shade tolerant and very fragrant.

You're the best. Matilda ate James T. Kirk for breakfast.

Have the MiracleBorns settled on Halloween costumes yet?

You should come to SF so we could go to the neighborhood that does all of its houses up like sets from the Harry Potter-verse for Halloween.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Calli, isn't there a yellow rose called something like "Leonidas"? My best friend once mentioned it as being her favorite flower, and I wanted to plant one if I could find it.

We have not, though I've made some headway on convincing Emeline to go as Madeline. If she does, then I'll be taking her trick-or-treating dressed as Miss Clavel.

We have our Annual Halloween party the Saturday before and it's a circus theme. I'm going as a trapeze artist. I'm going to buy one of these in nude: [link] and cover it with gold sequins, sparkles, fringe, and feathers. I'm trying to recreate this look: [link]

Although I want a mini top hat with sequins and feathers.

Joe will probably go as either the Ringmaster or the Strongman.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Even without a yard, I insist on having at least one rose bush on my balcony. It dies every winter, but I get enough enjoyment from it that even at $20 for the plant, I think it's worth it.

I went condo and I gotta say, it's a mixed bag when it comes to perks/downsides of condo owning. It's nice not having to worry about shoveling sidewalks, plowing driveways, mowing lawns. But then, by the time you add condo fees to the mortgage, your basic monthly expenses are no different than renting, plus you have to do all your own internal maintenance and repairs. So, there are trade-offs. I'm not big on the outside stuff and I have no problem with replacing wall sockets, plugs, fixtures, basic stuff, so in the long run I'd probably still go the condo route. At least, it gets me a better tax refund, so I'm happy.

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

I'd love to own a condo with the same total payout I do for my apartment.

I have so much debt, though, and so little income....well, it'll never happen.

“Not dead yet!”

Okay, Snow Leopard installed and running. I have Seurat as my new wallpaper, but I"m not sure how long that'll last. Don't know if I can take the pointilism 24/7 as it were.

Okay, Snow Leopard decided to post twice. Not that interesting.
