Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Ryan had his 4-month vaccinations today, the poor noodle. It's one oral vaccine and two shots. The first shot, he didn't even cry. He wailed a bit after the second one, but settled very quickly. We are weighing up the possibility that our baby is a mutant.
He has, however, been practising his pouting. He can get some very convincing lower lip action going when he feels he's not receiving the attention he's due. This is quite awesome. Wallybee blames me for some reason. (She also blames me for his raspberry-blowing hobby.)
I went to bed cranky and woke up cranky. We share a driveway with our neighbors and we all agreed to have a drainage issue fixed, but the fix the guy came up with has ended up with us having all the water drain onto our property. Every time, the guy has told us what he intends to do, I say "that will mean the water will go here, and that's not acceptable" and he tells me I'm wrong. Next rainstorm proves I'm right. I am not the daughter of a geotechnical engineer for nothin'.
Anyway, yesterday I came home to a muddy ditch that he dug, when we agreed on a swale. I suspect he thinks I don't know what a swale is, but he is about to find out how wrong he is.
Sometimes I think if Vortex and Sparky joined forces they could take over the known universe.
pop tarts:
I love the pouting! And the way my girl talks to my boob before she nurses.
K has a doctor's appointment today because the DH thinks her eyes are not tracking equally (I can't see it) and because of some flat head that seems to be starting. Poor squishy noodle girl.
Eta: We might be able to take over the universe, but I'm not sure we'd want to. It's messy.
How's Casper feeling this a.m., flea?

Hee. This is not something I have to deal with. Ryan does get very talkative when he's having his nappy changed, though.

I was concerned about flat head with Ryan. Apparently it's not uncommon with Chinese babies. We've been assured he's doing ok, though.
I think flat head has become much more common with the instructions to have children sleep on their back. I'm not really worried, but figure we might as well ask so long as she was going to be there for reassurance about her eyes, too.
My DH is sensitive about eye issues, since his mother had amblyopia.
I take Benadryl every night before bed. It's the only way I can sleep through the night.
I love baby pouty faces. The baby we sit for is particularly good at it.
Sparky, good luck with the appointment.
Amby hammock! No mattress = no flat head.
From what I've read, the biggest hurdle with medical marijuana is that you have to smoke it, which makes politicians twitchy.

Well, you can vaporize it, but that's a lot like smoking, I guess. It's still inhaling, just without the smoke.
Gronklies, y'all.
Head and eye-ma to K, negotiation-ma to P-C, etc.
