Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Those things hurt. And did you know they don't go away?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

However, if I would ever have one, right now the Women in Black symbol is the only thing that I feel committed enough to ink on my body.
What is that?

Ya, the forever thing is the other bit keeping me from the GL ring tat. Sure, the kilroy on the arm is forever, but something tells me I'll be walking on the crutches forever, so why not have the lil guy peering out over them.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I've been wanting another tattoo for about a year now. I'm not sure what it'll be, though. It would probably be just below the shoulder on my left arm, as I don't wear sleeveless tops in official settings anyway. And it would be a lot easier to show off than the one at the top of my right leg.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

(We also have a girl with a septum ring, which is also Not For Me.)

What's that?

aka, the ring that makes one look like cattle. (It goes through the septum, which divides the nostrils.)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I gotta ask why? For Snidely Carmichael purposes?

Like so: moustache tattoo

“Not dead yet!”

No tattoos. First woman I ever knew with one was my sister, who's fourteen years older than me and who had a rose tattooed on the back of her shoulder way, way before it was a fad (I believe she had hers done in the late 70s). She also had her nipple and nose pierced around the same time. (She was living in San Francisco at the time.) She got busted once in central Florida for having a small amount of weed in her car-- my mother had to go bail her out and saw the nose stud for the first time and basically growled, "What is that... thing in your nose?" Wouldn't bail Maria out until she took it out.

When Maria told me the story I looked at her and said, "She has no clue about the nipple does she?"

"Would I be alive if she did?"

Yet, I nearly got disowned for cutting and perming my hair. And people say things get easier for the younger ones. Not when you have the older siblings I did.

Thanks for the link Laga. Ya, very cool.

For those who want tat's, but not show them: [link]

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

GenXer here with no tattoos. Ouchy.

But then, I work at a lefty liberal NGO. One of the VPs suggested producing a "Tattos of [Workplace]" calendar as a fundraiser and, while he was kidding, it would be totally doable.

I worked at a pretty liberal marketing agency and at one point, we discussed putting at "Tattoos of [Workplace]" page on our web site (we also discussed a "Pets of [Workplace]" page). One of the owners offered to pay for any tattoos of the company logo (which he already had on his upper arm).
