I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I just had a Sven & Ollie moment with my electric toothbrush. When I plugged it in to charge the base wasn't level so I moved it a bit and the little blue light went off. I moved it again and the light came on again but the next time I looked the light was off. I jiggled it and the light came on again but then it went off. Eventually I realized the light blinks when the toothbrush is charging.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hil, much holding out till you can get to the doctor ~ma.

askye, that sucks.

Yay, Tom!

Also, here is my contribution to making Wednesday a better-behaved day: I am the queen of buying fresh, locally grown produce - walked to the farmers' market and got tomatoes, apples, carrots, potatoes, onions, and scones. Then drove out to an orchard on the outskirts of town where I got more apples and also a couple of summer squash.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I had a woman come out to price post-construction cleaning and asked if they will put in shelf paper. She tells me yes, they just did Mariah Carey's house and put in an off-white paper but she only wants white everything, so they had to pull it all out and redo it. Ha!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

For anyone who might be interested, here are the pictures from today's ceremony. I got a little carried away photographing people I didn't know as they came out with their certification of citizenship, but it was so awesome seeing everyone. [link]

“Not dead yet!”

Oh Nora, those are WONDERFUL! Yay, Tom!

Just made me tear up like a baby.

And was that REALLY Tom's first Twinkie? And if so, what did he think?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

This [link] looks a lot like Prince Harry.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Go you, Tom! Being a citizen and all!

(my new tactic with that is just to stop talking when they are fiddling with their phones.)

I do this in Life. It's surprisingly effective. I assume because they are abashed. Alternately they are parents and honestly need to pay attention to the call or text. In one, I am using Good Manners as a teaching tool. In the other, just actually using good manners.
