For anyone who might be interested, here are the pictures from today's ceremony. I got a little carried away photographing people I didn't know as they came out with their certification of citizenship, but it was so awesome seeing everyone. [link]

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Nora, that is so cool! Congrats to Tom!
Thanks! I'm all verklept and patriotic-feeling.
Oh Nora, those are WONDERFUL! Yay, Tom!
And I'm so glad you went all crazy taking pictures because this one?
Just made me tear up like a baby.
And was that REALLY Tom's first Twinkie? And if so, what did he think?
This [link] looks a lot like Prince Harry.
Go you, Tom! Being a citizen and all!
(my new tactic with that is just to stop talking when they are fiddling with their phones.)
I do this in Life. It's surprisingly effective. I assume because they are abashed. Alternately they are parents and honestly need to pay attention to the call or text. In one, I am using Good Manners as a teaching tool. In the other, just actually using good manners.
Dammit. I want a Twinkie.
I love the pics, Nora. And your neighbors are brilliant with the American Stuff gift basket.
Congratulations to Tom!
Hmm, I was at my mother's citizenship ceremony but I don't recall her getting a certificate.

If we can't look at her certificate, how can we be sure she's an American????
Will no one think of ... whoever?
