One of D's coworkers just asked if he'd mind working two weeks straight so she can go to Burning Man.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
dang it. I thought it was this weekend. Blargh. can we fast forward a week n a half then?
One of D's coworkers just asked if he'd mind working two weeks straight so she can go to Burning Man.
Was the answer:
"hell no!"?
Or
"I will cut you!"?
it's not like there is swag one could bring back from burning man, right? (I've never been)
Two weeks straight? The swag would have to be thousand dollar bills.
Was the answer:
"hell no!"?
Or
"I will cut you!"?
It was "sure, if the boss says it's OK" which is basically the same as A) above.
Second degree solar burns, maybe.
Was the answer:
"hell no!"?
Or
"I will cut you!"?
Or at least, "You owe me!"?
Yeah I mean I've worked longer for real work emergencies, or quite frankly for fairly big overtime pay. But it is really too much for someone who is not a close dear friend, and even then it depends.
And CA labor laws means the boss might put the foot down. More than 8 in a day or 40 in a week is OT. If he's working 2 shifts, the second shift would be mostly OT. So then the boss is paying someone to be on vacation, and 1.5 paying someone to fill in.
When is Burning Man?? Is this all last minute planning? if so, bad co-worker! No cookie!
