[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Cool. I will keep those in mind. I'm not real happy with a lot of my lipsticks.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

my husband of the known heart problems has sent me an email telling me he's not feeling well and he'd like me to come home, just in case

I do hope your husband's ok, Connie.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

We just got a Sephora here, I'm going to have to check it out. Other than the Urban Decay 24/7 what else is good to buy there?

Urban Decay Primer Potion (for eyeshadow), and BeneFit's She-Laq. Other than that, most of my makeup is by MAC, Aromaleigh, or from the drug store.

I talked to the makeup guy at the theatre, and he said that the best waterproof eyeliner he'd found was wet n wild for $2.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I think your comment about my Sweet Zombie Jesus link should be sent to this.

Too bad Peeps creep me out so badly I would have horrible dreams from trying to make our little nightmare come true.

Andi, how much snow have you guys gotten so far? I hope we don't get the full 10 inches they're predicting here.

Well, it looks like there is about 4 inches on the ground now, and apparently it all came down at once, while I was trying to drive to work. It was coming down faster than I could brush snow off the car to clear it, and then when I tried to drive, I went off the road. No damage, got back on the road, limped to a safe-ish parking lot, called bosslady to say I couldn't make it in. AND THEN the windshield wipers got so junked up with snow and ice they quit moving.

So I left the car, went to the cute little woolen mill outlet store whose parking lot I was in, called a cab, waited around for the cab until I was mostly dry (got completely caked with snow walking from car to store), and now I'm back home.

Also I bought a darling Willow Tree angel figurine at the outlet store. A) I kinda felt I should buy something in return for dripping all over their store and abusing their hospitality; and 2) it is an angel standing, holding a cat over her shoulder [link] and it matches the Willow Tree angel I already have that is seated, holding a cat in her lap [link] so clearly it was absolutely necessary for me to make that purchase.

Connie, is your husband ok?

Our wings are not tired

Connie, I hope your husband is okay.

In other news, I just ordered the license plate of 666HZ for one of my work trucks and am pondering if I want to do 666KHZ or 666MHZ for the other truck. We'll see if any of them make it through the approval process. The disqualified DBLOSND a year ago for some reason. It's wasn't because of the BLOS in the middle either as I've seen that on other vanity tags. I suspect they didn't want reference to Diablo in a plate. Give me a break. I suspect 666 will disqualify this one.

What part of DEADLINE do you not understand? If the kid had applied by the 13th, they could attend the event. Do not try to blame it on the fact that you didn't receive the application until the 12th. She had three fucking months to apply. Not to mention that it's the 26th and it just arrived yesterday (plus your ability to follow directions is suspect anyway because you sent the damn thing to me and not admissions, as it clearly states in the application).

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I still want to get "FLYUFLZ" for my plates, but that'd bump up the registration price higher than I want to pay. If I could fit in a number it'd be a lot cheaper, but they only allow seven numbers/letters in all.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I just had a completely casual meeting with the Big Boss and His Boss and I was sweating like a pig for no good reason. I hope they didn't notice.

If a man colors his hair is it polite to tell him he looks good or are you supposed to pretend you didn't notice? Let's say this man is your boss's boss.

~ma to your hubby, Connie

Well, they at least let 666HZ into the system, but when I just tried to pay for 666KHZ or 666MHZ they both got kicked out as being taken. I suspect they are too close to the 666HZ that I just ordered and now I can't get them. Back to the drawing board for the other truck. This is a case of first world problems for certain.
