Aww, GC, you made me grin. So happy everything is going well.
As far as the new faculty thing goes, it's not as bad as it sounds, responsibilty-wise. I'm supporting those teachers but only observing them once per quarter. I don't have to write up formal evaluations since my job is primarily mentoring, not evaluating. Their department and division heads will do more of the evaluation bit. I'm so excited to have less grading and more mentoring!

Lord have mercy, I am seriously the walking dead today. Had to get up at 4:45 in order to get Mom to the bus and then, because of a stupid cock-up on the bus company's part (they didn't have her on the passenger manifest) they nearly left without her. They had stopped at a different place up the road with a 24/7 Mickey D's to get breakfast, rather than the Travel America they're scheduled for. Lucky for everyone involved, I saw the bus cruise by on their way to the highway while she was on the phone with the company asking where in the hell the goddamned bus was.
So they turned around and got her.
Haven't been able to get back to sleep. Maybe I'll be able to nap this afternoon.
But at least I'm not in prison.
