My neighbors are being very loud. It sounds like they're having a party or something. The walls in this building are ridiculously thin. They are across the hall and one apartment over, and I can hear every word they're saying.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I've been gone for a long time and am painfully far behind. I did see that Hil is hurting (hugs to you, hon), Aimee's friend lost her baby, and Barb's mother is driving her crazy again. I'm so sorry to hear that.
I'm kind of at that point where I've been wanting to jump in and join the conversation but keep feeling like I'm interrupting since I know my quick skim can't possibly catch all the big things going on in everyone's lives.
Hi Kristin!
Thanks for the hugs.
Kristin, jump in! There were many conversations that took place where your voice was sorely missing. Welcome back!

My sistah!! I know perzactly how that feels. I think I've been in that spot for the past year.
Thanks! I've been back at work all week, and it feels good. Tired-making, but good. It's neat being all leader-y and stuff. I'm officially running the new faculty program (last year was kind of an interim position), and I designed a handbook, goals, and objectives over the summer. I have 12 teachers under my wing, but I'm only teaching three classes (a total of only 42 kids!), so I actually have time to observe and give feedback and do a good job. It's exciting.
Hi, Kristin. Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate, but it sounds like a good challenge, too. I'm sure you will be brilliant with the new teachers.
General job~ma to askye and her whole workplace.
The MPR news story I linked to above has been corrected on the website, I've amended.

Please join in the conversation. You and your pixels are ALWAYS welcome.
Yay on new mentoring aspect of job. Or rather expanded I guess. I'm guessing the less classes/students will make grading easier? I'm guessing 12 teachers to evaluate is less stressful/time consuming at home than another class or two. I seem to recall you up to 5 classes last year (or was that the year before?? Damn how time flies).
Kristin, your posts make me miss teaching!
Am packing up my room at uni. I'm going to miss being a student. Maybe that thought will encourage me to write my dissertation, attempt to get published and do the PhD. Or I'll sit around the house like a big lump and do nothing...
