The MPR news story I linked to above has been corrected on the website, I've amended.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yay on new mentoring aspect of job. Or rather expanded I guess. I'm guessing the less classes/students will make grading easier? I'm guessing 12 teachers to evaluate is less stressful/time consuming at home than another class or two. I seem to recall you up to 5 classes last year (or was that the year before?? Damn how time flies).
Kristin, your posts make me miss teaching!
Am packing up my room at uni. I'm going to miss being a student. Maybe that thought will encourage me to write my dissertation, attempt to get published and do the PhD. Or I'll sit around the house like a big lump and do nothing...
Or I'll sit around the house like a big lump and do nothing.Nothing? When there is the internet? Or videos? Or the tele? Oooo or video games!!!

ION, seems me falling asleep while watching the game has left me WIDE awake at 4am. Thankfully, no work tomorrow. Weeeeee. Also, thankfully, the Yanks kicked some MAJOR butt tonight. Too bad it only counts as one win. The BoSox are still up 8-6 for the season, so not bragging.
IOON, I went and saw GI JOE tonight. I had free passes. So for free, I thought, why not. Ya know, I will say, there was a LOT more of a story line than the previews let on. It wasn't half bad. For a summer block buster, no thinking, enjoy the action type of flick, I'd say go watch it.
Seems I'm talking to myself. Well, I really should try and sleep. But in the mean time, both the Sellout Woot AND new KidsWoot are VERY tempting today. :: shakes fist at sky for not having any spare cash :: Why do I strive for fiscal prudence, when I could just rack up charges on the visa bill like the rest of America?!?!?
I'm only teaching three classes (a total of only 42 kids!), so I actually have time to observe and give feedback and do a good job. It's exciting.

Hey, you! And yay on the reduced teaching load, even though it sounds as if you're going to be plenty, plenty busy. That's SO exciting.
Nothing? When there is the internet? Or videos? Or the tele? Oooo or video games!!!
Heh. All of the above also being worth spending some time with.
I'm kind of at that point where I've been wanting to jump in and join the conversation but keep feeling like I'm interrupting since I know my quick skim can't possibly catch all the big things going on in everyone's lives.
That. Also the attempting to skim hundreds of interesting posts to find at the end I am too tired to contribute, and what I was thinking has been said.
Kristin! Sounds like an exciting and challenging year ahead. And maybe less grading? (hopeful)
Today is Bobby's birthday. He stayed the night with a friend and just sent me a text to ask if he can go mudding with friend's family. This is what happens when they are teens. They don't want you to throw parties or take them to that big mouse place. They take off and do stuff with their friends. He starts driving Monday.
His older brother sent me a text at 8am this morning (from his bedroom) asking if he can go with me to the office when I go in today. This means he needs money to go out with his friends tonight.
Thankful that cell phones and texting are among our parenting tools.
Yeah, the Sellout Woot is very tempting. I think I really want the touch, though, so I'll wait till I have that money.
Today is Bobby's birthday.
Happy Birthday to Bobby!

Really? Well, some people juggle geese.
Make sure he gets his picture with the statue of Jayne Cobb.
Why yes, we've been rewatching Firefly, why do you ask?
