Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Seska, I'm not learning to write. To start with, I'm wanting to speak first. Once I learn that, then maybe I can figure out what squiggle means which sound. Unless your in laws pass notes at the table.

See, that doesn't work for me. I put this down to dyslexia/dyspraxia/neurodiversity. I "see" words. I can't learn a language without seeing the words in my head. I'm currently trying to 'see' the words in English letters, and it isn't working for me. I'm hoping having a basic grasp of the letters will help.

Hold on, as is Hebrish? Oh, we could totally do that!

I've said it recently on Facebook, but I will repeat it here:

These ultra-rightwingers, who want no government and no taxes, but lots and lots of guns, SHOULD MOVE TO SOMALIA. No government or taxes there, and plenty of guns.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

No government or taxes there, and plenty of guns.

Also no food, schools, or clean water, but hey! Guns!

Heh. Would it get in the way of learning to read actual Hebrew later? If not, I'm there. Especially if there's an established spelling system I could look up.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

It still irritates me that I can't learn a different alphabet. I'm reasonably clever (and not used to being unable to understand things :P )

My high school French teacher tried to tell me I should major in Russian, compliment from him, as he would occasionally get bored of teaching French and have a Russian class. But yeah, not so much with the new alphabets thing for me. The first one was hard enough.

brillig

I don't think guns make people safer, no matter how much enjoyment you get out of them. The statistics just don't bear that out. But damn, they're fun to shoot.

With too many people I've seen, an increase in caliber is inversely proportional to their brains.
