Aims, you really need to go to my uni graduation with me next year. I'll let you go up and collect my diploma from HRH The Princess Royal.
(awww, turns out that "little" Princess Beatrice is now attending Goldsmiths, my alma mater)
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

YES!!! PLEASE!!!
::wanders in, faceplants, holds hand out pitifully in hopes that a Strong Drink will magically appear::
Lord y'all, I'm skippity skipping. Just assume that anyone who needs hugs, snuggles, and/or gropes is getting them from me.
After eleven/twelve straight hours yesterday of the deification of my father (complete with an attempt at Big Guilt, which, WTF?), today's menu had us moving on to the Prince of Darkness, featuring the immortal quote, "I never knew bipolar people could be so difficult."
Considering I was driving at the time, it's a miracle we didn't end up in a ditch. I've been pretty good about the noncommittal murmured reply because seriously, I don't want to engage, but that one actually got a completely spontaneous, "What?!" from me. I mean, first off, my brother's not just bipolar, he's really, really freakin' bipolar who went undiagnosed for entirely too long because of an enabling mother. Add in drug abuse and I suspect a healthy shot of paranoid schizophrenia, really the bipolar is just the tip of the iceberg.
And then she tried to pin it on the fact that he didn't like sleeping alone when he was a little boy.
Right, then.
She's reduced me to blasting Eric Carmen's "All By Myself" just out of sheer desperation and wishful thinking.
This is exactly the sort of thing that gives me hope for the future.
The thread is making me feel all warm and fuzzy now. When I see the change in attitudes from my parents' generation to my kids' generation it is encouraging. (except when I slip up and read comments in inappropriate places then my hopes are dashed again)
Oh Barb, very strong beverages, gropes, hugs, and an unlimited supply of cabana boys for you.
Laura, according an NPR story I heard yesterday, a very high percentage of the anti-healthcare reform group is over 65. Ironically they don't want government to interfere with their MediCare. SMH! In any case, those most resistant to change will eventually die.
::stumbles in after Barb. Collapses in exhausted heap.::
Hi, mah Bitches! Long time, no posty, I know, but I do try to skip and skim and read.
Hugs and snuggles to thems that needs them and thems that wants them.
Started my new job last week. And, as java pointed out on my FB, I forget to even tell y'all I had gotten a new job. Teaching drama, speech and video production at a jr. high north of the city. Which means not terribly close to where I live.
So far, so good. After the flurry of new employee training (mostly boring) and working moving into a new school and room, kids started today. Pretty good day except for 2 who thought they'd test me on the first day. I won, but I expect further testing from those 2.
Also, I have been warned that my internet use may be monitored so no b.org during school. I can't even access my freakin' yahoo email. As a result, not much posting and lots of skipping/skimming in my future.
Re: town hall meetings. I can't even watch them because of the crazy. On what planet is helping the uninsured get health care at a decent price a bad thing??
Windsors? Saxe-Coburg-Gothas? Bah!
*gasp!*
What can I say? I like the classics. (Also, Richard III was framed.)

I don't know. I'm not a Tudor revisonist but the evidence really does look like Richard probably had the boys killed.

On planet Crackheadistan.
OK, I took a nap. I am not feeling much better.
Everyone seen this video of a woman shouting "Heil Hitler" at an Israeli man at a town hall meeting? [link] My question is, why is that woman wearing an Israeli Army shirt?
