Walking I get. But power walking? Why not just run for a shorter time?

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

And because it deserves its very own post - love the picture, Laura! you look so happy!

I was going to say the same thing but then I got distracted by fanfic. You look great, Laura!

There is something intensely joyful about watching a cat who is sitting in a sunny window. I love just standing next to them, and watching the birds and squirrels with them. Once in a while, petting 'em to feel their sun-warmed fur.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah. It sucks that I only have North-facing windows. My cat does like to sit in the window and watch the wildlife (when it's warm enough for me to have the windows open).

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

That's what I miss in my current apartment. It's on the north side of the building, and sun doesn't come inside at all, except for a brief period before sunset at the peak of summertime, and that's just a small sliver through the balcony door. My cat misses the sun, too.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Random me photo on my birthday swinging in the trees.

I love Laura pix!

I'm home with Matilda today. Her daycare provider has all day doctor appts. (eep! Please be well.)

Emmett will be pleasantly surprised when I show up to get him after school with Matilda in tow.

That thought makes me smile and smile. It may be an even better warm-fuzzy than the cats basking in the sun - which is a whole lotta warm-fuzzy.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I am back in the office today and wondering why I didn't work from home again. I'm freezing and hungry. At home I could cuddle in a blanket and toddle into the kitchen whenever I wanted. Shoot, half the people I work with are off in other offices this week anyway.

brillig

One 4th of July, Hubby and I were in my office building downtown, which had a perfect view of the big fireworks show. No one else was in the building. Halfway throug the show, Hubby sniffs and says, "Hm, we're getting the smoke down here."

An hour later, we stroll out of the building--and discover that the door we were going to use was *inside* the roped off area that the firemen had sealed off because of the fire on the second floor of the building, on the opposite side of the same floor we were on. Cue the horrified and shocked firemen who began screaming at us to get out of there.

Granted, the office building was converted from several older buildings with doors punched in through the old exterior walls of the original buildings, so there was a layer of thick brick between us and the section that was burning, but there had been a fireman instructed to make sure there wasn't anyone in our section.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I usually just walk away, which apparently makes me the rude one.

Okay, not that you're rude, but you might try a smile and a gentle, "That's not my job," before you walk away.

Laura! You look like you're on Lost! Watch out for ... well, whatever is menacing people on the island this season. You also look both happy and adorable. ::misses Laura::

I am Windsparrow in re cats in sunny windows (although that was a cloudy afternoon).

The Emmett and Matilda stories always make me smile.

Our wings are not tired

Toddson, that reported is Bree Walker. She was on the air in San Diego while I was growing up and actually lived in my neighborhood. Don't know if she still lives there.
