I drive the kids to school in jammies every day, but I don't actually get out of the car. Totally appropriate and very mom-like.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Totally appropriate and very mom-like.
Yeah. I was assured that it's totally normal. My boss even said that I get extra points since I got R2 to school on time my first day. So, go me! Or something.
I am being bad right now. I should be at class, but I'm not. I'm finding it difficult to motivate myself. I just made another pot of coffee. I'm hoping that helps.
Where is everyone today? Actually working? That's so sad!
I know, right? Ridiculous!
I have work to do, but it's so haaaard. I got my dad's ick before he left town and am now suffering. Blech.

Oh, that sucks. No fun. No fun at all. I'm hoping I don't catch the kids' ick. That would be bad. I've got so much to be doing.
I'm pretty sure it's his, because it comes with additional fun stomach upset (free gift!), but my kids have had the death flu for the past couple weeks, so it may be that too.
Yeah, sounds like it. Ugh. I'm sorry.
idealist.org is having a career fair tomorrow at BU, and I really want to go, but I just can't figure out how to work it into the day without canceling something else. It doesn't start till 11am. I know college students get a late start, but good grief! 11? Really? I need something between when I drop the kids off at school and my class at 12:30 p.m. Grrr.
Em, I had something to ask you, but I can't remember it anymore.
Oh, remember my kiddo that was changing her math homework so the solutions would be negative numbers? She's one of the kiddos I'm staying with this week. Apparently, she did not turn her homework in that way. She redid it. Her teacher said that was entirely for my benefit. I'm so lucky!
That's pretty adorable, I have to say.
Dude, where IS everybody? This is weird! I feel like my one thread in Natter killed the entire board... except for vw, who developed some kind of localized immunity through living with me.
Dude, where IS everybody?

I'm sitting at home, underemployed, planning my trip to LA this weekend to do the Tom Waits Tour, Mark 2 (post-financial collapse).
We had a going-away party for JZ's mom yesterday. There was an event at her bookstore and tons of people showed up; very gratifying for her.
It's rainy and dreary in San Francisco, and I'm about to make more coffee and go watch Wristcutters: a Love Story on Tivo.
(I've been wanting to see the movie since it came out, but it's only just now rolling around to cable. It's a black comedy about suicides living in purgatory, and hence features lots of Tom Waits. Amusingly, the number one hit song in purgatory is "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division.)
