Damn you, Bridget! Damn you to Hades! You broke my heart in a million pieces! You made me love you, and then you-- I SHAVED MY BEARD FOR YOU, DEVIL WOMAN!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

That's great news, vw! I really admire the way you confront these issues in a calm and direct manner, it takes guts.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Eating sushi with a fork is so fundamentally wrong I can't even begin to describe.

I've eaten sushi with my fingers since a Japanese friend laughed at me for eating it with chopsticks. Much easier that way, too.

“Not dead yet!”

I was eating at my computer, so the idea of eating it with my fingers wasn't doing much for me, although the thought did occur.

Ha! I'm thinking of some of my conversations with people over the last week. They were less than calm! But, today's was calm, and I wasn't even nervous. I think I made peace with walking away if necessary, and then it just all happened how it was going to happen. It was really amazing.

I like the chopsticks they have at PF Changs. Plus, if you shove 'em in your purse while nobody's looking, they're free!

I'm reminded of all the times in my life I have built up in my brain some big confrontation/altercation/issue that I dreaded would happen, only to have the whole thing dissipate after I decided to bite the bullet and do it.

I still do it, but I'm getting better at not building things up.
