I happen to be very biteable, pal. I'm moist and delicious.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Today is my day off. Yay. At the moment the temperature is in the upper 20s. Over the course of the day, it is supposed to drop into the teens. I need to go run errands and then go back to bed rather than the reverse which is what I am wont to do on these days. And yet, I have a cat purring and snuggling on me, and I seem to not be moving very fast.

Things that are bothering me today-

1. You know, I get that the site wants me to read an ad in order to read the article, but it's really annoying when I click through, am reading the article, and suddenly the page changes and the ad pops up.

2. Do they have so little of a life that when I add Facebook to my new work blackberry, two separate people have to comment to ask what happened to my iPhone?

3. I like you, but asking me to "tag along" to an event that I've responded to on Facebook is really rude. Especially since you don't really know the group of people all that well and haven't seen them in 2-3 years.

I'm about to lose my shit. My work situation, which I don't feel I can discuss more than very vaguely here, has just gotten more complicated.

Deep breaths, vw. None of this mess is your fault, of your making, or, really, your responsibility. I'm quite proud of you for kicking up a fuss to fix the situation when something was obviously wrong instead of just walking away.

How horrible is it that the very selfish part of me is like, "This is totally going to wipe out my references for the past two years"?

vw, just remember that *you* didn't cause the problem OR the complications. I hate that it's such a rotten situation for you, but you did NOT cause this. Hang tight.

You know. I have to wonder how I get myself into this situations. Is it me? Am I just that much of a pushover? I feel like I'm always dealing with some stupid crisis that's "not my fault." Somehow they've got to be partly my fault. Or they just follow me. It's insanity.

Okay, it is SO not. There have to be other people there, other than your boss (I'm trying to be vague) who may not be in as high of a position as your boss but whose reference would still carry weight. Your boss is not the only person who observed/knew what a kickass job you did, and his reference is not necessarily a crucial thing to have to show how good you were at this job.

No, no, no and no. And, in case I forgot: No.
