Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Okay, for reallies I think it's a fountain under the sidewalk.

Wonder what the web address of the cam is. Couldn't find it.

ETA or as the commenters have pointed out, it's a guy dressed in white balancing two plastic lawn tables on his head.

My biggest question is, Since when did angels begin to scuba?

I was just about to go get a soda at the vending machine when someone stopped by my desk. He saw my Dork Tower cartoon I have up in my cubicle and had to stop by to say that he thought he was the only one here who read it. So, after telling him I knew Jilli the Perky Goth and he told me about meeting the creator at various cons, we ended up bonding over geek shows.

I told him about Castle being on tonight, we agonized over BSG's finale coming up, he told me about faking press passes for the big Doctor Who 20 convention back in the '80s here in Chicago, where he and his buddy got behind the scenes and even interviewed a bunch of regulars including Sgt. Benson and the Brigadier. It's always fun meeting a fellow geek here!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It's the future of home lighting! Philips Master LED Bulb: Enlightened When On or Off

It even looks cool.

This July, Philips will release an LED bulb that's ready for mainstream consumption, the Master LED.

Fitting in a standard bulb socket, the mercury-free Master LED bulb sips just 7W while burning up to 45,000 hours, or about 30x the length of a normal bulb. It's actually already available in parts of Europe (we can't spot a price, anyone out there know? UPDATE: About $50-$70), but with the proper retail availability, I could see an LED light with this form factor exciting the mainstream US public, couldn't you?

Philips also has a few other models coming that you can check out at the link.

Those lightbulbs would be perfect for ceiling fixtures--I hate getting up on ladders to change mine when they burn out.

They brought in pumps to take care of our flooded lot! It's bone dry now.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It's fairly warm here. Various plants are starting to sprout and bloom. Spring is a good thing in my book.

hip deep in pie

So I knew that leaving crap on the stairs was going to get me one day. I always just thought it would happen in the middle of the night. But no, I just tripped on something and slid down the last few stairs and landed on my back. Am experiencing lots of interesting burning pain in my lower back on the left side. I'm a little worried it's going to hurt a whole lot more later.

JZ, I know a guy on Facebook who seems to have photoshopped himself into a sort of Belinda-type picture. His face on a white, fluffy cat and it is VERY disturbing.

The last person I know who fell down stairs broke her ankle in 3 places. I was the one who heard her fall, then the faint "Help." Still, the paramedics were cute.
