Oh sarameg, that is so sad.

Family friends had a baby girl with fluid on the brain. Her first year was really rough. She had to have several surgeries to place and adjust a shunt to drain the fluid. But after that first tense year, she grew into a healthy adult.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I poisoned Tim's dogs. I brought over two dozen chocolate chip cookies this afternoon. We each ate a couple, chatted for awhile, and when I got home I got an email asking me how much chocolate was in the cookies. The dogs somehow managed to find the container and chowed them down.

I feel awful. They're sleeping and don't appear to be ill, but I'm worried.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Allyson, how big are the pups? Here's a scale to tell how much they can tolerate.

Once my sister's cats knocked an entire birthday cake off the counter and Mac consumed most of it. She was barfy for hours.

It happens.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

My neighbors have dogs that are notorious for getting into the holiday chocolates. Whole bags of Hershey's Kisses and whatnot. They cook up a bag of rice and feed them to the dogs and all is well with the world until Easter rolls around. Rinse, repeat.

Allyson, as much as they say it's bad for dogs, I have heard many stories about dog mowing into chocolate and not suffering any ill effects. I think that they are sleeping it off is a good sign.

Micky D's is trying to outcreep BK, it seems.

This is my anti-earworm song:

"AND! They're coming to take me away, ha ha! They're coming to take me away ho ho hee hee ha ha! To the funny farm with trees and flowers and chirping birds and basket weavers who sit and smile and wiggle their thumbs and toes and..."

Usually works.

Thanks for the chart. I'm worried about them, still. He says they seem okay.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It looks like the average beagle would have to eat at least a third of a bag of chocolate chips to get sick and close to the whole bag for a potentially fatal dose.

My dog apparently ate a couple of ounces of weeds and then threw them up this afternoon.

Art Crawl!!!

It's the size of the dogs and the purity of the chocolate that have to be taken into account. Was it dark chocolate?
