The Boy (still doing the puzzle) just asked if he could use my Farscape action figures as representatives.
Okay, now I want to do this puzzle. Sadly, I will have to use either Sara's Barbies or her miniature Dora family.

Sara needs cooler toys.
Whew! Got it.
[eta: And I really doubt I'm in the top 2% intelligent people on Earth. At least I hope I'm not.]

Pfft. Sara's toys are by definition cool.
And I really doubt I'm in the top 2% intelligent people on Earth. At least I hope I'm not.
Me, too. (Er, I hope that *I'm* not in the 2%.)
Hurt your brain: Einstein's riddle.
I love stuff like that. It took me about 20 minutes, using a basic 5x5 grid once I established the colors.
Therefore, I submit that it's not that 98% of people aren't smart enough, it is that we are too lazy.
I think you're probably right. Since you don't have to guess to solve it, it should only be a question of time (and interest).
I walked to the library, drew a page's worth of art cards, and walked back, noticing that practically everyone in the neighborhood that can be outside, is.
It's 59 here.
Oh, I love those kind of puzzles--when I took the GRE the first time (which was the last time they offered it on paper) I hadn't studied, and didn't know they had a whole section with that sort of puzzles, and was all excited when I got to it and found that. Wheee! (I scored really well on that section, luckily, like a 790/800). Sadly, they took it away after that, so the next time I took it, on computer, no fun. Not that I've actually ended up applying to grad school either time...
I started that puzzle, made an error, and couldn't be arsed to fix it. Mostly I just really want to go back to sleep. Not proving to be possible. So I watched bits of Dog Soldiers instead, and am surprised to notice I think Kevin McKidd is hotter either as the other characters I've seen him play, or just without a Scottish accent.
And then I listened to a Christian Kane interview where he bitches about Lindsey's fate, amongst other things, and says that he will sing in the next season of Leverage. I hope he means onscreen and not just like he did in season 1. Go team Eliot. Who is explicitly modeled on BA Baracas, I have now learnt.
