Aren't they something. They're like butterflies, or little pieces of wrapping paper blowing around.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I probably won't show up for your rally

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

You can almost acronym that as SPORC.

Sane People Offering Rational Compromise

We could have spork-shaped lapel pins and spork to death people who refuse to be rational.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

What religion was Superman?

Church of Rao.

I am a dork.

This Web site lists what (Earth-based) religions the various superheroes are. Superman is Methodist, which makes sense, since Ma and Pa Kent raised him in Kansas.

(I had NO idea Batwoman was Jewish. How did I miss that?)

Superman is Methodist, which makes sense, since Ma and Pa Kent raised him in Kansas.

And, as we all know, Methodists are bulletproof.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Oh, sure, on EARTH Superman's a Methodist.

But if he were on KRYPTON, aside from being radioactive and dead he'd worship Rao.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Traitor! Ban her from the movement!

Pfft.

This is why I'm not in any movements.

This is why I'm not in any movements.

Because you've betrayed them all?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

On Krypton wouldn't he still be Methodist but much less forcefully? Like, "Yeah, the church has a steeple. What ev "

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Oh, sure, on EARTH Superman's a Methodist.

I blame Ma and Pa Kent.

The same Web site lists the religions of the villains, and the Joker's "religion" is listed as "being Batman's arch-enemy."

I guess for him, it IS.

t edit It's not just a job; it's a *religion.*
