I mean, let's say you did kill us. Or didn't. There could be torture. Whatever. But somehow you found the goods. What would your cut be?

I found out my daughter's class is covering forces and gravity. I was trying to tell how gravity is really cool and is the warping of time and space. I also tried telling how time slows down for observers in higher gravity. She seemed really unimpressed by all this. I did tell her to stick with the class answer of 'force that attracts objects to each other' rather than 'warping of space-time' on any tests.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Hopefully the dirt from Sunday isn't for burying the humans from Saturday.

So glad I wasn't the only one who went there.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Tonorrow, drive up to Santa Barbara to meet J's parents for Brunch of the In-Laws. Tomorrow noight, mom's last night and out for dinner plus watching ER (her fave show). Sunday, mom to airport, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning and movies with friends.

Tonight I'm taking Frank the dog to the vet. I don't know what the vet will say other than he's old (he's gotten pretty incontinent and shakey recently, but it's been gradual). I hope he doesn't recommend a bunch of tests.

If it doesn't take too long at the vet I may go up to Trader Joe's after.

Saturday is bike riding in the warmer weather! Plus 3-year old twins birthday party (chocolate pirate ship cake!) and then another party I have to go to after. Sunday is ... I'm not sure. Walking maybe and then later babysitting twins so their folks can go see Coraline finally.

Now tagless for your comfort.

What are people doing this weekend?

I'm running a five mile race tomorrow that starts and ends at the local brewery. With free beer at the end.

I know I can do at least 4 miles. I'll crawl the last mile for free beer if I have to.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I'm also less likely to get exercised over a physical fight where both give as good as they get. Probably because I find it hard to call someone an abuser if they get as many bruises as they dish out.

I dunno. If you fight back you are not being abused? If you fight back successfully, then then it was OK for the other person to start the fight?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Good questions, TB, and ones I hadn't thought of. Mutual violence certainly isn't likely to happen in a healthy relationship.

Beyond that, must rethink.

I know I can do at least 4 miles.

If you can do 4 you can do 5!

I dunno. If you fight back you are not being abused?

That seems really conditional. If a woman hits a man to little effect and the man hits back causing injury wouldn't the woman be the abused? Is it a matter of intent or actual harm? If the man never lays a hand on the woman except for a reaction to being struck is he an abuser? To me it seems like either intent or harm is abuse, but I can see how there can be shades of gray.
