Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

She'll always be from New York Undercover and Oz to me. I was super happy to see her on Ugly Betty!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Oh, I like Dexter's boss (Maria). I also used to really hate his sister, but I really really love her now. Cracks me up.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like Dexter's boss (Maria)

The subplot with her boning her boss's fiancé was pretty cold, but I still enjoyed her.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

the barely-graduated diabetic education person who was going through the spiel of symptoms, and she said, "But you can still do everything right and loose your feet and go blind, it's pretty inevitable."

Good lord. How did she graduate in the first place? Depress the teachers until they passed her to get her out of their sight?

brillig

How did she graduate in the first place?

I doubt empathy was part of the curriculum. It may not have even been four years.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just watched this week's Chuck. Casey is a shipper . Not that he would ever admit it.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My Mom's best friend at the retirement place may be on the downward slope to amputation, and is a textbook case of "you can do everything right, but." Her problem is that she tripped and broke some bones in her foot a couple years ago, and that's led to infections that just won't go away.

Diabetes is a subject I pay a lot of attention to -- people near and dear to me affected, et cetera, like my father who had adult-onset, which probably contributed to his fatal heart attack. One bright spot is that we've got better drugs all the time and more understanding of immune disease processes that will probably see a "cure" in our lifetimes.
