All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just watched this week's Chuck. Casey is a shipper . Not that he would ever admit it.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My Mom's best friend at the retirement place may be on the downward slope to amputation, and is a textbook case of "you can do everything right, but." Her problem is that she tripped and broke some bones in her foot a couple years ago, and that's led to infections that just won't go away.

Diabetes is a subject I pay a lot of attention to -- people near and dear to me affected, et cetera, like my father who had adult-onset, which probably contributed to his fatal heart attack. One bright spot is that we've got better drugs all the time and more understanding of immune disease processes that will probably see a "cure" in our lifetimes.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I just watched this week's Chuck...

Ha! I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right. I don't think even torture would get him to admit it, though.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Ooof. This made me check Owen's fish.

I have found the Holy Grail of pants. These rock like a rockin' thing. They make a skirt with the same waist and material which is also amazing.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, noodle. When I was his age, one of my fish tortured the other fish to death. Didn't eat it, exactly, just nibbled at its tail until it couldn't swim. Terrible. Not sure what life lesson I learned other than, I don't want to have any more fish. And that one didn't stick, I had fish again in college.

And heh, I think you're totally right, aurelia.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

why no posts? I can't work today.

I am working on my other computer that belongs to a client and sits on their network. So I can't go to b.org on that computer, and every time I switch to this computer my KVM switch makes two loud beeps.

Anyway, that means less b.org for me.
