Ummm... is this the best response to a man who's set himself on fire?
If he were threatening to run into something, maybe. Otherwise...

Well, it's also kind of a mercy killing, but I suspect that's not what the monk wanted before he set himself on fire.

I don't think "mercy killing" was what the cops were thinking either.

That's exactly what I thought.

Could be, though. If they wanted him to suffer before he died all they had to do was stand there.

I'm thinking their thinking was along the lines of, "He's engaging in a prohibited form of protest! Shoot him!"
So I'm writing a paper for a class. Two weeks ago I had to submit an introduction, research plan, and bibliography. Now I am submitting a revised introduction, revised research plan, ooutline, and expanded bibliography.
Problem is, my topic hasn't changed much as I have read more on the subject, and my introduction is still entirely relevant. And it's good and succinct - to make it longer would be more like writing the whole paper. But changing it just to "revise" it seems dumb. I mean, it is already good! Adding detail would wreck it!
Ideas?
I dunno. Just include a note saying, "At this point in the process, I feel revisions to the introduction are unnecessary"? And then maybe include the introduction again?
Did your prof give you any comments? can you incorporate those.
Or submit it without revisions and see if anyone notices.
