I've always felt sorry for Mickey Rourke. I think he was an amazing talent, and he's still talented, but he's also an object lesson in drugs, alcohol, excess, and, well, really bad plastic surgery. Still, quite a character. Surprises are always fun, though.
Leo finally looks grownup to me. I wasn't sure that would ever happen.
Oy, now I'm feeling like a cranky, judgmental nun. Sorry, y'all.

Why? I mean, I'd love to see Leo win something, too, but seeing Mickey Rourke was just fun. And I think Oscar voters and GG voters are sometimes a little different.
I can't wait to see
Revolutionary Road.
Johnny Depp doesn't look like he showered
that
much more recently than Colin Farrell. But they're both hella cute.
Mmm, now I want another drink. It does go with the GGs.
an object lesson for sexy but sloppy actors, like CF. There is the result of a slippery grooming slope.
ha ha ha! I hate to laugh, but it is SO TRUE.
I'm watching on time delay, so I'm just now seeing
young Kirk and Spock
and all I can say is
that movie is only going to fuel the slash.
There are a lot of people in fandom who are waiting for the day that people see the new Trek movie and then decide they've invented Kirk/Spock slash.
And then they plan to laugh.
I can't wait to see Revolutionary Road.
Me neither, although I've read the book and it's absolutely GUTTING.
And yeah, I totally hear you on the differences inherent in GG voters vs. Oscar voters. I mean, the fact that they serve copious amounts of alcohol at the GGs should be the first clue, right?

The two of them were very cute together.
I still cried over Heath even though I knew it was coming.
i'm really hoping all these awards get more people to see Slumdog Millionaire. it's one of my favorite movies i've seen in the past few weeks.
Revolutionary Road is extremely well done. you feel like you're hiding in their bedroom witnessing all the things you shouldn't. Leo and Kate sell it on every single level.
i'm sososo happy for Kate. she really deserved that. i only hope that Leo ends up getting the Oscar. i have a feeling Brad is going to end up getting robbed this year because there are so many other wonderful films out there. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is an incredibly beautiful story though.
I have, of course, seen nothing yet. I fail at movie-going lately.
Me neither, although I've read the book and it's absolutely GUTTING.
Maybe I should pick it up. I'll probably read it long before I get to the theater, that's for sure.
