Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Something interesting in space? Unbelievable!

Giant Space Cephalopod!

Now I don't want to hear anything from any of you about pareidolia. If the loons get their Virgin Mary in burnt pancakes, I want my Cosmic Cephalopod in distant smears of hydrogen.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I also liked:

"It's dumb Daddy. You should erase it. Grow up Daddy."

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Tiny Art Director is currently killing my entire office.

I love this one:

The Brief: A dinosaur eating a baby, like last time

Artist Negotiation: But you didn't like it. How about something other than a dinosaur?

The Brief, Revised: a Poo-Poo Airplane

Job Status: Commission Declined

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That site is hilarious.

So, I am a complete doofus -- after hemming and hawing about this job announcement (do I even want to leave at this point? would I want to work there? what excuse would I give to go on an interview?), I finally sent off my resume to the headhunter, and....not a close enough fit. Classic.

Went well. Well, after I got there. The building doesn't mark suite #s (!!) and I walked past it several times, and not even the hotel concierge knew where it was. And it's really obvious, just the shopping center is bizarro land.

I like her, she's aggressive, but not pushy. I think I'm going with a $140K cap, but we're going to look at some upwards of that where they are all "motivate to sell!!!!" Which...there are an awfully lot. I've got some research to do on incentive programs.

10 am saturday to go look at houses. There's also one coming up as an estate sale (not on market yet) which we'll look at.

I'm sort of overwhelmed.

YAY!!!! Sounds good and I am glad you are getting out looking right away. I will now do all searches with that cap in mind.

Woo hoo! I'd imagine it will get easier when you start looking at places -- at least it will be easier to eliminate places.

hivemind. I have a turkey breast I'd like to cook up ala Thanksgiving tasting turkey. I'd also like to do it in the slow cooker. if I rub it down with spices (sage, S&P) and put some onions & celery in with it, along with a 1/2 of water or so, should that work? I have a recipe for slowcooker turkey breast, (but they are not seasoned T-dayish) so that gave me the cooking time.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I don't think it gets crispy in the slow cooker.
