I'd say hotel. I think it's nice to have a place to shower, brush teeth, relax that isn't a super public airport space. and maybe some sleeping.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think my own position is secure as long as we want the capacity to do production at all (I'm now the only person in the company who can do page layout, I've always been our only illustrator, and I have done print coordination in the past though I'm not as good at it as my co-worker). But I'm worried that pay cuts may be in our immediate future.

I know we can likely buy our way into showers and really comfy chairs at the airport via special lounges. But I sent off an email to the Doha concierge service asking about that shit. I don't know whether to worry about my mom more on the inbound or outbound. Dad, well, he did Mongolia for cripes sake! No cushies. Mom isn't up for that. Her arthritis is going to act up from the flight alone. So if springing for a bed and shower at an inflated rate for a few hours twice? Eh. And if I can get a shower too? Heh. I can go without, but hotdamned, if I were travelling alone, I'd so buy a shower and mattress for $100 after 20 hours if I could afford it (god knows, when I couldn't I was resentful and stinky.)

Of course, I'd be the one getting no sleep because I can't sleep thru my dad's snores, so I might as well stay at the airport.

I am so excited for you, Sara!!!

So excited you'd take MK for 2+ weeks? Kidding, I wouldn't ask that of anyone with cats already. But I have to figure that out too. Ideal would be to get a trusted housesitter via work/friends (we have summer interns we keep on a tight leash. OR nursing students needing 3 weeks free housing over the summer, lisah you know anyone?) Worst case scenario is boarding poor MK and getting a drop-in to the house for the other two. It's 15ish days total, so not that bad, but longer than I've done.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Leverage is funny tonight. I have worsened my headache laughing.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

If you can get showers and comfy chairs without having to go through customs&immigration (twice), that might be the way to go. If you have to go through C&I anyway, go for the hotel.

Jet lag was always worst for me when going east.

dcp, we have so many hours, I suspect c&I are negligible whether we have to or not. We'll see. Hopefully I'll get some response from airport services in the next few months.

Going east, I'm fine. West? NSM. Anticipation versus Oh hell, back to life regular.

That would be some crazy times here! I'd consider it, if you were in a jam, but it's possible that cat-allergic boyfriend will be living here then (fingers crossed and knocking wood!). And that might just be more than his claritin can handle.

I have a couple of petsitting friends both of whom have taken care of my guys so are comfortable with giving injections. I will email you!

I'm totally hoping the end of tonight's ep of Leverage means that there will not be a cliffhanger for the season finale.
