I have a ticket to Kathmandu, Nepal via Doha, Qatar, in July. flail
24 hrs over, 30 back. On the way back, I have a 10 hr overnight in the Doha airport, but I've read the seating is adequate for sleeping. (Time in a metal tube: 20 hours each way, but at least there's a break 2/3 the way through each time. Won't be quite as grueling as the 17+ hours to Johannesburg.) flail

Pure fun. My parents and I are going (they generously are paying for it.) Final destination is Bhutan, but we have a couple days on each end in Kathmandu.
Reading mixed reviews on the airport for long layovers. But for $40, econ class slugs like ourselves can get access to one of the lounges that has showers and such, which might well be worth it after 20 hours! Since we'll be there 7 and 10 hours.....
