We, and the other child Evelyns I know, say EV - schwa - lin, which spoken fast occasionally comes out EV-lin. Dillo calls her EHW-win, but he's two, and the letter L is hard. My best friend is named EVE-lyn, a family name, and has found that people almost always get it wrong (she's called Lyn for every day).
