Well, look at you. All dressed up in big sister's clothes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would say EV-eh-len for a girl/woman, EE-veh-len for other things -- Evelyn Waugh, Crabtree and Evelyn.

ION, I have a ten o'clock meeting out of the office, so for now I'm still in pajamas. I have to remember to leave eventually, though!

Trust my rage

I love name discussions.

I would say Ee.veh.lyn or Ehv.ah.lyn. We need flea for this discussion.

“Not dead yet!”

Oy-- I just posted a WIP chapter on my LJ as part of a blog tour. I feel sick.

Someone tell me something fun to distract me.

All is well that ends in pizza.

One grandmother was named Estella Marie, but called Dorothy.

Her name was Magill, and she called herself Lil, but everyone knew her as Nancy.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Hee--for any editors/proofreaders out there!

I am adding that to my desktop tomorrow!

Just added to mine!

“Not dead yet!”

Oooooooh... not quite PuppyCam, but it's a Shiba-Inu mix puppy named Buffy!

information libertarian

We, and the other child Evelyns I know, say EV - schwa - lin, which spoken fast occasionally comes out EV-lin. Dillo calls her EHW-win, but he's two, and the letter L is hard. My best friend is named EVE-lyn, a family name, and has found that people almost always get it wrong (she's called Lyn for every day).

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Her name was Magill, and she called herself Lil, but everyone knew her as Nancy.

They call me Mimi; I don't know why.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Hey, SNOW!
