I kissed him, and I told him that I loved him. And I killed him.

Matt Keeslar! The Middleman is like Benton Fraser's wacky younger brother.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Well, in this movie, he's...bad. Bless his heart.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm going to have to watch Dollhouse on delay. DH went to bed early and I'll have to put the kids down before I can watch it.

I think I want these: [link] Maybe in brown AND black. At that price... I also like these: [link] but not quite as much.

I need sandals. My $6 montgomery ward ones that I loved are worn out.

I just bought the first brown pair to see if they work. Sandals, so I may have to go down a size in Fluevogs. And dear god, I will get a pedicure this weekend.

Can't beat a pedicure.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And the continued supply of cheap clothes is predicated on international trade, cheap fuel, and large companies that can buy/sell/produce in bulk.

Are those things going away? I thought that was the economy of the 21st century.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Though I already know how it ends.

Things don't look great for at least two of those elements.

On Feb. 11 the U.S. government announced that both imports and exports had plunged in December, continuing a trend that started in July. Since that midsummer peak, goods imports and exports are down by more than 25%. Imported goods, in particular, are now down to the level last reached in 2005. On the same day, the Chinese government reported even more dramatic figures. Measured on a year-over-year basis, shipments from China to the rest of the world are down 18%, while shipments into China are down 43%.
