I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm watching flea's coworker on Jeopardy!

Though I already know how it ends.

Things don't look great for at least two of those elements.

On Feb. 11 the U.S. government announced that both imports and exports had plunged in December, continuing a trend that started in July. Since that midsummer peak, goods imports and exports are down by more than 25%. Imported goods, in particular, are now down to the level last reached in 2005. On the same day, the Chinese government reported even more dramatic figures. Measured on a year-over-year basis, shipments from China to the rest of the world are down 18%, while shipments into China are down 43%.

I like the second pair a lot (I prefer heels if I'm spending $$. Cheap comfortable flats are easy.)

I've only had ONE pedicure since you took me last. But I liked and my latest shoes are making my feet all ooky (not flues, I should note. It's just winter feet.)

sara, I just kid.

My previous black flats were Born and were about $65 or $70. They had to go because of the stink. So I am happy to pay a little more for shoes that are dressier but still flats. We'll see.

I do love heels. I just don't know if I $170 love them. Plus I have a black pair of mini pumps from fluevog that I wear all the time that are similar. Hence the talking myself out of them.

Yeah, I know. I like the concept of pedicures. The execution? Well, I am lazy and not of the people.

The really 'spensive shoes I only buy when a) someone else is paying (the red and lavender MJs that are just so FUN because otherwise I have no excuse) or b) serious comfy workhorse shoes (mini gorgeouses or the olive pair I have) that I know I'll wear forever. The minis broke a heel at something like 7 years out, but a trip to the cobbler should fix that. In some ways, they are old-school shoes, repairable. And weird enough they aren't dated. Just odd.

I don't like all fluevogs, but the ones I've bought are long term comfy shoes.

I just bid on a pair of red and lavender minis on ebay. Something cheap, I think. But I wear read regularly.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

both imports and exports had plunged in December,

Hmm. Isn't December a big buying month? Or do things get imported and exported before then to meet an expected rush?

Now tagless for your comfort.

I really want one of those doctor fish pedicures.

Cash, just the thought of that freaks me out. Completely. No nibbling of my feet!

My red ones, not sure if you saw them. Flat maryjanes like the mini gorgeouses, cherry red, with lavender trim. Doesn't match most of my clothes or anything. I wear 'em most on weekends with jeans or short sand irreverently. I call them my kindergartner shoes. Just fun, no other reason. BRIGHT
