Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Happy birthday, Kristin and MFNLaw!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthdays, y'all!!

I think HR filled it out for me. That's how I was Hispanic for a day last year.

Heh -- I know someone who was listed as Hispanic at work for a long time, when she's not. Her partner is, and she speaks Spanish, but still. My other justification for what I'm doing is, we're just providing percentages, and that could go wrong in any number of ways!

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

I am a social networking SNOB.

I've found the "less about" option to be very useful for those situations. When they appear in your newsfeed, click on the "options" button to the right of their post/status update/whatever, and select "less about" and you'll rarely ever see them again. I use it for the right-wingers in my family.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

But a lot of them have JUST DISCOVERED social networking and I feel like I'm drowning in newbies who say weirdly inappropriate things and I just want them to catch up for a few years when the LOL! LOL! has been beaten out of them.

If you hover your mouse on the right side of their latest inanedate you can instruct Facebook to "tell me less about this person".

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

When they appear in your newsfeed, click on the "options" button to the right of their post/status update/whatever, and select "less about" and you'll rarely ever see them again.

This doesn't stop them posting on your wall, though.

Too true. Defriending might be the only option for those types.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I'm pretty sure you can block certain people from posting on your wall. Of course, facebook is blocked at work, so I can't check. But yeah, defriending might be the best choice in this situation.
