IIRC, that it definitely was a doctor and not black market fertility drugs gone haywire, he did indeed transfer all those embryos, he's regarded as an unpleasant creep by the rest of his clinic's staff, and he habitually does shady creepy things like ask for cash payments, pocket them, and hand them over to his wife so there's no official record anywhere in the clinic of the transaction.
