It used to be no big deal to get on our roof and it was covered in gravel. The new house (they've now lived in it longer than the old house, but whatever) has shingles, but more of a pitch, so I hated having to go up there.
Tired, again.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Roof isn't high, so being ON it isn't scary. Climbing up the rickety ladder is the part that makes me the woozy.
I have never been on a roof. Well, a slanty house-roof. Buildings with flat roofs, yes, but that's a whole other vibe.
I gave up climbing on the roof about 10 years ago, when I found I was getting increasingly terrified by the transition from ladder to roof and back. I'm perfectly fine *on* the roof.
Better and better. Now that message has morphed into: "Confidential and Mandatory Team Lead Meeting" at 8:45 tomorrow morning.
Do Not Want.
I just scrubbed 1/4 of my classroom floor. I still have the rest to do and no will to do it.
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday Suzi!
I mailed off the application to renew my passport today. Whee.
My friend is downsizing her office this week. Massively stressful. I'm excited for her to reach the point where she can enjoy the truth...even without the economic imperative, these changes are going to be really, really good for her and the rest of the staff.
Best I can do is offer moral support and pizza.
eta: what I meant to say is, brenda, I hope the shift is a good one for you.
Hey, anybody interested in perusing my resume?
I'm interested in hearing about its readability, any editing needs, etc.
Much obliged in advance.
Oh gawd, Brenda. Yeesh.
I had my phone interview--luckily, sounds like they're very aware the job description (years of experience) is whack, so that's good. The pay thing came up, and apparently that's ALSO whack, but they're also aware of that, so hopefully something could be worked out. Sounds like a second phone (or possibly in-person) interview may be in my future. Fingers crossed.
