How to create and attach a DTV converter box to your aluminum foil helmet
Don't get caught unprotected June 12, when digital television receivers will begin picking up brainwaves with higher-frequency energy blasts.
While an aluminum foil helmet was sufficient protection during the age of analog broadcasts, new digital transmission is much more powerful, rendering regular 1-ply helmets USELESS.
Foil hat and helmet wearers need to affix a converter box directly to the exterior.
The best choice for this application is the paper/plastic/foil laminate Tetrapak used for hospital juiceboxes.
ok, not Debt, I was thinking of It's Your Chance of a Lifetime. By answering the first question correctly, the show covered up to $10K in credit card debt.
So I'm on hold with some travel agency, and the hold music is Enigma's "The Return to Innocence". Not a Muzakified version, either -- the whole Gregorian chants, dance beat, whispered "Sade, dis-moi" deal. This is... bizarre. I think we used this in a dance concert when I was in college.
Aren't those the lyrics to "Sadeness"?
Bizarre as hold music either way.
ouch. although, I make ld calls, but we don't type in codes.
I feel like, making the calls is just getting over, and whatever, we don't pay her enough. Putting in the code, for all she knows, our boss gets an itemized list of names and numbers (she doesn't, but still). First job, first job.
Oh lord. My work counterpart mentioned to me and our boss that she might have to wait at home for a delivery tomorrow or Wednesday and we got the following from the boss:
Just a recommendation to be here tomorrow if at all possible. You will learn more tomorrow AM. Sorry to sound ominous!
Cripes. Can I tell you how much I Don't Want to Know.
oy. Sunroof just fell off. Rassen frassen house. I had to climb up a rusty, rickety ladder to tape it back down. I'm not overly fearful of heights but that was NOT FUN. Plus now I'm pumped up with adrenaline and just want to calm down.
Sunroof on a house? Where is that located--over the sunroom? I can only think of a car's sunroof.
I hope my maintenance guy has my HVAC unit reassembled and working by the time I get home tonight. When I left for work, he'd already been in my living room for an hour, completely befuddled by the noisy fan that was getting worse with each tweak he made. It was a new noise for him, which is never a good thing to hear from someone with as much experience on those units as he said he had.
He did say he would change the lightbulbs in my kitchen, so I'll have some wattage in there again--yay! I cleaned it up nicely before he showed up, so I'm stopping by the Jewels for some groceries and will do some cooking this week. (Still have to clean out the fridge tonight, though.)
Aren't those the lyrics to "Sadeness"?
Um... yes. What? I only know two songs by them, and I guess I thought I only knew one. Oops.
