Sunroof on a house? Where is that located--over the sunroom? I can only think of a car's sunroof.
I hope my maintenance guy has my HVAC unit reassembled and working by the time I get home tonight. When I left for work, he'd already been in my living room for an hour, completely befuddled by the noisy fan that was getting worse with each tweak he made. It was a new noise for him, which is never a good thing to hear from someone with as much experience on those units as he said he had.
He did say he would change the lightbulbs in my kitchen, so I'll have some wattage in there again--yay! I cleaned it up nicely before he showed up, so I'm stopping by the Jewels for some groceries and will do some cooking this week. (Still have to clean out the fridge tonight, though.)
Aren't those the lyrics to "Sadeness"?
Um... yes. What? I only know two songs by them, and I guess I thought I only knew one. Oops.
In re long distance calls - years ago the place I worked would hire the teenage children of staff people to work as, basically, temps over the summer. One, the daughter of a director, seemed to think that her mother's position and the fact that it was the office phone meant she could make unlimited ld calls ... and she did. Ran up several hundred dollars in ld charges ... which, because of her mother's position, they never had to pay back. Instead, the office imposed all kinds of restrictions and reporting requirements on staff making ld calls. sigh ....

The two with French lyrics are Sadeness and Mea Culpa.
I use that song to remind myself that Sade is an exception to the "de" rule.
I also may have listened to way too much Enigma when that album came out.

Um, oops. I guess I don't immediately recall what it's actually called. Big hole in the roof covered by a window to let in light. Thought it was called a sun roof but yeah, that's for a car. Sorry, my brain is failing me.
ETA: skylight?
heh, thanks megan. I just remembered it.
Seriously I sometimes scare myself.

Oh lord -- we had a group of high school kids staying in a hotel last summer and one of them used the room phone for long distance calls. That was a HUGE to-do, as well as being a large bill.
I am scared that your skylight fell off and you climbed on the roof to tape it back on. Be careful!
your skylight fell off?!? that's scary.
but not as scary as Brenda's boss. GAHHH! Good luck, Brenda. Ew. Ack. Meh.
Also, if I could get a teensy bit of -ma, in about 40 minutes. I have a preliminary type phone interview--it's with HR, so it's more "is this position really suitable for me/do you want to pay me what I want" on my part and theirs, I expect--it's a grade lower than what I had interviewed for with the same company about a year ago in another location of theirs. And I have a lot more experience than they're asking for. OTOH, they DIDN"T hire me for the other position, so who the hell knows--if they're willing to pay me what I want, I'm not sure I care if they advertise the position oddly lowly, and then only hire people with scads more experience than they're asking for. That's on them....so we'll see...
