Now, this would be the perfect time for a swear word.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Watched the posthumous Mark Twain award given to George Carlin. I think he would have appreciated the irony of it being "made possible by a grant from Merrill Lynch" followed by an extended Merrill Lynch commercial enhanced acknowledgment.

Always Anti-fascist!

I think they are overthinking that, honestly.

“Not dead yet!”

quester, I'm so glad it wasn't just me! Because it was just an immediate reaction, turning to Lewis and saying OMG, Chris??

I've also got to go back and look at what the folder said on the front, I think it was "Aeres Project" with some Russian font on the bottom of the seal. This definitely is going up several notches.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

All the talk about LoM reminds me that I have two unwatched episodes of The Closer to catch up on.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I loved the original LoM too much to be able to watch the new one. I tried though!

“Not dead yet!”

I think, though, it's starting to evolve into its own entity, Nora. From what I've been able to gather, the last U.S. episode they aired before they took the break for the holidays followed the same general story line of the last episode of the original, so wherever they go now, it's paving new territory.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I just liked what's-his-name so much I don't want to watch the American version. You know, the guy. PM Harold Saxon.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

A new political party in Israel this year: the Holocaust Survivors and Grown-Up Green Leaf Party. Their platform is Holocaust survivors issues (something like 1/3 of Holocaust survivors in Israel are living below the poverty line), some vague stuff about human rights without many details, and legalization of marijuana. They seem to be formed from some people who left the Pensioners' Party and some who left the Green Leaf Party, and for some reason decided to join together to form this new party. [link]

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

So, I'm dying of curiosity: Scola, which event did you go to last night, and how was it?
