The house GOP has released a list of waste in the senate version of the stimulus package. While I suppose the house GOP isn't very relevant, it is interesting. There are some where I agree with the list, and others that I guess I need more info for.

The first one I find pretty interesting. Everybody likes to talk about clean coal, but I guess actually trying to do develop the technology is a waste. The project might just be rubbish though, it's hard to figure things out without more info.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Hmmm...They've got group rooms in the hostel, so that might work. Put 'em all in one room (by gender).

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Notice that CNN didn't sum up the total of what the Republicans consider wasteful. It looks like it's less than 2% of the 900 Billion.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

$448 million for constructing the Department of Homeland Security headquarters.

$248 million for furniture at the new Homeland Security headquarters.

Interesting that it's the GOP who wants these cut!

I was surprised at how little there was considering the size of the entire bill.

It looks like Obama had a nominee withdraw for tax reasons. Is there anybody who doesn't have tax issues?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Is there anybody who doesn't have tax issues?

I pay my cleaning lady cash and don't do withholding for SS, unemployment or pay for worker's compensation insurance. I'd fail to survive congressional scrutiny.
