Journey on the preigame and the KO with DP - so many levels of awesome.
The Puppy Bowl has a parrot singing the national anthem.
I don't like football(mostly because I think it's sort of beyond me, honestly) but I must agree that KeithNDan4-evah!!1 is as great as people's memories describe it. I am now thinking Dan should get that 10:00 MSNBC slot and out-Costas Costas. Which might quell the "partisan" bitching, but not the "KO runs the network" bitching.
Jennifer Hudson sure can sing.
Say what you want about American Idol, but at least they've throw a bunch of kids into the pop music world with some actual talent.
Thank you, Hil! Those look awesome.
Yeah, Hudson nailed the anthem. Nicely done.
Bratwurst & fries w/ homemade ketchup are ready. Game is projected on our big wall. Furniture is rearranged. Go hometown!
She was awesome I just wanted to hug her.
t superficial Hines ward is a cutie.
Okay, I hate Pepsi, but the Forever Young commercial was pretty freakin' brilliant.
And yes, Hines is a cutie.
< also superficial>
Yup, I like that one a lot. Of course I laughed pretty extensively at NBC's own "Feelin Alright" ad.
Oof. I'm emotionally wrung out. One of three coaches on Emmett's tournament/all-star team died suddenly ten days ago. This is somebody I spent every weekend with during the summer for the last four years. Emmett was close with Fred, and also good friends with Fred's son, Alex. (Also on the all-star and travel teams.)
All the baseball families got together last night for a small memorial/get together about Fred. It was very moving but tearful.
And today there was a public memorial and it was HUGE. He was a big part of the community and probably 2,000 people turned out for this. The Veterans Memorial Hall was packed.
Anyway, we're hunkered down switching back and forth between Puppy Bowl and Super Bowl now. I'm about to start on the beer, or possibly gin since Teppy's in another state.
