Well, Super Bowls are either historically really, really good or absolutely terrible. There's rarely anything in between.
Sometimes you know going in which way it's going to go, sometimes, there's a sense of mystery. This year's has kind of a sense of mystery about it because you'd think it would be a blowout, given the participants, but I don't know. I suspect we'll know within the first few minutes.
Ugh, I missed the tennis. I wonder if it will replay on some station or if I can find it to have running while I prep for Super Bowl. I don't have a clear favorite for SB, but lots of good food. My heart belongs to the Steelers, but I couldn't feel bad if the Cardinals surprise people.
Want a great game, fabulous half time, super ads. I'll settle for good company and food.
It's on again at 3:00pm your time, Laura.
I also believe this may be Somervillain Ellen S.'s birthday....
It is indeed!
Sigh, our bed frame finally kicked the bucket and now we are looking at dealing with getting another one- and I think we are going to upgrade to a king (so we all have space with both cats on). We want to do the IKEA thing, although transportation will be an issue...
IKEA is a bit of a genius about breaking down large things into manageable boxes. I once drove up from NJ with a boxed lounge chair securely tied down to the roof of my little Honda....
Timelies all!
Going to our friends' house for the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, our furnace isn't working properly so we're waiting for the repair person.
The problem with beds is that the pieces are just really long. I got mine delivered, so it wasn't an issue there, but putting it together alone was pretty unweildy.
Our furnace has been broken for days. Of course, not having heat is less important in SF than DC. Plus, I'm mostly bedridden this weekend so it's no problem staying warm.
I'm very glad for the internets so now I don't have to watch the Super Bowl for the ads.
Just finished watching the tennis about 30 minutes ago. Thank goodness I added on lots of extra time for my recording.
The tennis was the greatest sporting event? But the
final set was such a letdown!
I think the semi finals were more enjoyable, both of them.
