I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

She did! I have it, just haven't watched it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Noah likes himself some lori!

msbelle:

what did meredith and yang fight about?

Meredith left Yang out to dry when the interns got caught performing an unnecessary appendectomy on one of their own, leaving the chief to believe she'd known what they were up to, and causing her to lose out on the opportunity to perform the first solo surgery, despite being chosen. I also think Meh ended up assisting on said surgery.

Why did the lady cardio surgeon leave?

Meta reasons. I think they later implied that it was because Calli wasn't gay enough for her.

What happened with george and meredith's sister?

She exploded at him because he didn't choose her as his intern despite them being best friends (molto lame, if you ask me) and then got over her broken heart by seducing McSteamy.

And what happened to mcdreamy's nurse?

She left after admitting she was being unprofessional after he dumped her (she ended up cutting his palm during surgery because she was being careless handing over the scalpel).

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I only ever made it through the first disk myself.

I liked that one a lot though.

I am so tired. And I am so behind at work. I told my boss that I required 24 hours notice on firing off a new project. As in, if I hear about it first thing in the morning, it will not start until 24 hours has elapsed, I don't care what the godboss says. There is just too much going on.

And that was before I found yet another huge clusterfuck from mid-December.

I am so tired.

Noah's got a very agreeable lori, there.

Do we have to give our mailing address to get to visit the temple? We tried to visit the one here when it just went up (at like, 3 in the morning, but it was still packed like a rock show) but they wanted too much demographic info before we were allowed in.

I'm fairly certain they want your address to check against the membership lists to see if you're a member of the church or a "contact opportunity." IE, if you're interested enough to see the temple, you're probably amenable to listen to a couple of fresh-faced missionaries tell you about the glories of the Celestial Kingdom and How You Can Be A Family Forever.

I gave a fake address when we went through.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm reading Sarah Vowell's Wordy Shipmates and I think Kristen's Roommate has a very similar (and funny writing style).

DH brought sushi home for dinner and I made a cherry pie.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Lori's posts made me laugh, although I feel the need to send out a personal PSA:

WARNING: Being a human climbing structure may be fun now, but it will be less fun in a year or so. And will continue on for at least a year after that point.

I was just trying to decide if I wanted to stop for sushi on the way home, or maybe just order Chinese food.

Or longer. If I'm sitting on the floor, Owen can leap directly into a sitting position on my shoulders. I'm considering shipping him off to the Beijing Acrobats.

It's like I don't know you any more.
