And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My soup (lentils, sausage, fennel) won't be ready for another half hour, and now I'm thinking I should have just made a box of mac'n'cheese. 'Cause you know what lentil soup doesn't have in it? CHEESE!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I will probably eat leftover chili for dinner. I mean, it's good, but I probably should have frozen some of it. I can eat chili only so many days in a row before there's a revolt; I shall not elaborate on what kind.

Okay, I've no idea if this has been linked to before but... damn.

One third of all High Fructose Corn Syrup is contaminated with Mercury.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I had crackers and cheese as about half of my dinner. The other half was salad, with blue cheese. Mmmmm, cheese.

EXACTLY! My planned dish was a cheeseless quinoa stew. bullshit! Although I do love a lentil sausage soup. I may have some in the freezer actually. How long do those types of things last anyway? Frozen soup or chili type things in tupperware?

Sleet has started. I rescheduled my vet appt to Friday and I'm hoping work is closed if it is bad. About to do something sphincter clenching that I'm not 100% about at work. There are a couple alternative is something goes wrong, but I'm not happy about it. But it's crunch time and we're in the hole.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had popcorn for dinner.

Also, I don't understand why mashed potatoes are the thing to have with meatloaf -- although I understand how delicious they are together, why not baked potatoes? You already have the oven on!

I was glad to see that my super and his friend next door pre-salted our sidewalk, so when it snows over night (apparently) we should still be fine.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ooh, I want meatloaf.

Apparently this 17 year old also has two cars of her own, that she doesn not share with her parents, a Hummer and some other luxury brand. This is so alien to me--

Are her parents Ben Stein (and did anyone else see that sickening column in the Times this morning)?

brillig

criminal misuse of Sherif

Omar Sharif? Was he Constantine? I thought he looked familiar and they were doing weird shots like "This man is important!"

edit: When we got to that point, I looked at Hubby and said, "Now with added revivial of faith!"
