OK, anyone know what's going on with the group of people behind Blagojovich in the picture with this article?
That is one fantastic picture. It's like he told someone to round up a demographically diverse group of people at random and stuck them in the corner of that room, without telling them why they were there.
To tout his accomplishments in that area, he brought to the dais with him a dozen Illinois residents whom he said he had helped get health care. They included a man in a wheelchair wearing a neck brace and two toddlers who were crying in the background throughout the proceedings.
The NYT reporter doesn't seem impressed.
He talked about them in his speech.
Ah, OK. More than skimming the article would have helped.
I think the interpretation of "The governor says youze gotta stand right there and keep quiet" is applicable as well.
Neat. Michelle Obama's mother is going to live in the White House, at least for a few months. [link] (And two of the first twenty comments are complaining about this being "at taxpayer expense." Sigh.)
I love the conversation the Fug Girls make her have with January Jones: [link]
::SNORT::
Their imagined conversations rock. I love the one they had with Will Smith and Rosario Dawson [link]
And God love January Jones, she can clean up great, but the girl always has had issues dressing herself.

So, yeah, pretty much what I said up there.

I read recently
(somewhere)
that the First Family is responsible for their own groceries. So, basically, "no, there is no expense to the tax payer."
That's unless, of course, she cranks the heat like so very many old people do.
